Whats the best hair Straighteners out now ?

I want new hair straighteners for xmas ....

Any suggestions of the best..also i go away alot so would love really cute thin ones to take with me.Whats the best hair Straighteners out now ?
Ok well I wanted GHD's for xmas two years ago, but never got them. Instead I got FHI and I think they were about £89. So they're probably down in price by now. They are really really good, as I have wavy stubborn hair that likes to frizz. These straightners do make my hair straight, people dont believe that I have naturally wavy hair, and surprisingly (although I don't know if it's my shampoo) but my hair doesn't frizz, it is very soft. People have stopped to tell me my hair looks soft, especially at school, they love stroking my hair... lol, but yeh that could be the shampoo. However the straightners are very very good, they're still working after two years. The heat does only go up to 240 max I think, but I only use them at 150 anyway and it does the trick perfectly. Hope this helps.Whats the best hair Straighteners out now ?
During the holidays Chi sells these limited edition straighteners.

Only difference from the originals are that they have different designs haha...

But I bought a white one and it came with two nail polishes and a case that can be used for traveling.

If you just by the original one without all the extra ';free'; junk (the limited edition ones are ultimately more expensive.. they grab you with the designs haha..) it's like 140 dollars (Canadian).

Paul Brown and Sedu are also good..

However I think they (well Paul Brown at least) only go up to 430 degrees celcius.

The Chi goes up toe 450.

If you get Turbo Chi, the temperature is more adjustable so if you want to curl your hair with your straightener (which requires less heat) you can adjust the settings..
OK..CHI is NOT the best straightener...there is a straightener called a babyliss, its awesome! it heats up to 450 degrees and it is titanium.

However it is very important that you are careful with it because it will fry the ends of your hair if you keep it on the highest heat setting. Most PROFESSIONALS use the babyliss, including ME...its awesome, I promise you would be amazed with what it can do!

Unless you have a cosmetology license you can only buy it online...

its the Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium 1 1/2'; Sraightening Iron, and its the 17th item down on the page(click the link)

***however it gets super hot and the ends are very thin on the iron so you would have to learn to straighten with one hand, and not put your fingers on the tip if the iron...it will burn you!!

http://www.folica.com/brands/babyliss_3.html?s_cid=gg_babyliss%26amp;GCID=S31334x001%26amp;keyword=babyliss%26amp;gclid=CKvRkPuhqpcCFSCcnAodVkBpjA

hope this website helps! :)
I have the chi and it works like magic. I have naturally wavy hair and when I run this straightener over it once to twice it goes completely straight. Also, the dial in the middle lets you chose whichever temperature works best. It really is worth the price.
I agree with ';Me M'; GHD's all the way-I also have very stubborn wavy hair and only GHD's do the job!
CHI is by far the BEST straightener ever. it comes in different sizes and heats up very fast and gets very hot.
I agree with the others. I have a Chi straightener and it works AWESOME.
CHI ish the best!

But the instyler is good too.
Its got to be GHDs!!
Totally got to be GHD's. I have really curly hair.....some people don't know this! :-) (What did we do before them?!)

Best hair straighteners you can buy?

I NEED new straighteners!Best hair straighteners you can buy?
GHD's there the best ever, dont get the pink ones though they may look nice but there rubbish, get the wide plate, black ones i can do my hair in literally 5 mins with them and my hair is REALLY long =] Best hair straighteners you can buy?

I have a babyliss pro 230 elegance and they're great! they work just like ghd's and it also have heat temperatures and its very light and if you buy one it comes with a free bag for your straightener and a free heat proof mat
get a chi.

or, if thats too expensive, get an andis.

Its like the same thing, but a knock off and works just as good. I have both, and they work the exact same.

Thing is, an andis is about $30 and a chi is over $100
do not go for ghds unless you get the white ones!

they dont have temperature control, which is NOT good for your at all.

try and look for some with ceramic plates, and maybe a widerplates.

fhi's are good for this.

xx
ghd's are the best :)

so just buy the 20 dollar ones

PS - dont buy the ones with a HI LOW setting .. the HI setting is never hot enough to make it nice

Andis is the best they are like $16.00 I know you can get them at walmart
I think you should go to Walgreen's of CVS. I use con-air and their not that expensive.

    or this http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref?/a>
well i use conair hair straightner 20.00 or 19.99 which is not bad for a straightner or go 2 www.ebay.com and u might find a good one for little money
My friend bought a hair straightner at Wal*Mart for around $10 and it was Vidal Sasoon and it works great. ^.^ About the preventing damange, I think you can buy some products from Pantene Pro-V for an affordable price. ;D
At Sams Club, there's a straightener called ';Infinity by Conair';.

It heats up to 400 degrees, and it works really nice.

It's like one of those Chi straighteners.

    Its just as good.

    I reccommend it.

Look hotWhich are the best hair straighteners?
    Hey :)

I also have think curly hair and i understand why you would like to straighten your hair

The best straighteners are definitely GHD's as they are at such a specific and high temperature that they actually lock in moisture into your hair rather than burning it off which is why it creates such a sleek and shiny look which would be desirable for your hair type.

They do cost about 129 quid however they are under guarantee and i have had my pair for 4 years now and they are still going strong, they are most definitly and amazing investment :)

    Hope this has helped

    x
A lot of people do recommend GHD's and you can get them for under the RRP just do a online search i have seen them for under £50 in fact it is on the ghd website. I have had Kodo's no one i know has heard of them but i have had them for nearly 7yrs and they have only just broken today due to wiring and they have ben dropped numours times! i have really thick wavy hard to straighten hair and they were excellent and cheaper than ghd's and have the heat adjustable section. hope this helps
    i'd deffinatly say GHD's

my friend had thick curly hair and she uses ghd's too and they make her hair lovely and straight

The chi is the best but is quite pricey. if you go to sally beauty supply and ask for their generic brand of chi straighter it will work just as good as a chi and for half the price. What are the best hair straighteners to get your hair really straight?
    a chi.

    http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=h?/a>

the exact one i have ^^
CHI definitely makes the best straighteners. We have 4 girls in my house using the CHI everyday and it's still going strong after over a year and a half! It's makes all of our hair types stick straight.
Sedu, Hai, Solia, CHI. I have the CHI and it works alright but I have realllly curly hair thick hair.

You don't really need the best straightener to straighten a little wave.
you know what when i was in 6th grade i got this straightener called straighttothemaxx and i use it with got 2 be hair cream for heat products and still today it works amazing
    Chi straightner.

But if you only have wavy hair im sure you could also use one from like..walmart ;D But Chi's work great
The Chi is wonderful, it goes up to about 500 degrees and makes your hair pin straihght
Love the GHD. I like that you can curl with it too.
    a Chi.

    or a skinny Wet-To-Straight.

    they both work Ga-Reat.

    I have both of them.:)

Best hair straighteners on the market?

i want some new hair straighteners that are thin, so they can curl aswell. I know GHDs are probably the best but my mum doesnt want to pay that much for the new IV ones. Are there any others that come close, but cost less. Or should i just somehow persuade my mum to buy the GHDs?Best hair straighteners on the market?
GHDs are by far the best. Why not ask for money from other relatives instead of pressies and buy them yourself? they are £109 on their website with some free products. Hope santa brings you what u want!Best hair straighteners on the market?
go into a haunted house at midnight with no torch or any form of light, and then get somebody to jump out and scare you, and whilst your hair is standing on end spray it with hair laquer.

    sorted

    next question please
IMO you can't beat ghd hair straighteners for quality and performance. I definitely would not be parted from mine!

I think buying cheaper irons is a mistake. Tell your mum that the ghd IV styler comes with a 2 year warranty, most other brands are only covered for 1 year and see if that persuades her?

Be safe and buy them from an approved ghd retailer - Jason Shankey is doing a great deal at the moment for £96.99 with free heat mat and thermal protector spray.

www.compareghd.com is a good site for comparing all the best ghd deals available.

Just be careful on ebay though as there a lot of fakes on there, especially at Christmas time. You can buy genuine cheap ghd hair straighteners on ebay, but they are not much cheaper than the reputable websites once you consider p%26amp;p charges.
ghds are the best but if you dont want to pay so much then FHIs are pretty good ive got one

Why not split half the price with mum? x
I have quite thick frizzy hair and for me there is no substitute for my GHD s I now have two pairs one thick and one thin.

Try not to be lulled into buying them on e bay as you will not know they are the real mccoy and you dont want to spend all that money for a con.

I have my first pair three years and just treated myself to the thinner ones and each pair works as well as the first day I got them....my hair is in good condition too as they dont cause mass damage as some do.

Get your mum to contribute as much as she can and get everyone else to put some money towards them to.

Honestly you will not be disappointed!!
Hey GHD's are far by the best...Me and my mum have just brought some and they work wonders on our hair there really good at curling as well you can also get really cool stuff with them and have them in any colour to suit your taste i would definitely try and persuade your mum tell her how they wont burn your hair as much ,........she might just give in..... :P

My guy mate bought these mini unisex straightners from superdrug the other day, he said that theyre brilliant!

I think theyre babyliss ones I cant remember..

But usually if guys hair is short, then you dont need expensive straightners x
I think Dark GHD MK4 styler flat hair straightener iron will fit for boys ,i brother have used.
    Hey,

You should get the CHI straightener because you can straighten really close to your roots and since boys' hair tends to be shorter, this straightener works the best:)
I use my sisters GHD's, they're pretty much the best you can get. I'd recomend the skiniest ones as they're more versatile and would be better if your hair isnt really long.
The same ones that girls use. Seriously. Girls know more about hair than you - get a female friend to recommend one and buy it.
get one from the store that is skinny. the bigger they are the harder for you to use.
None lol get to the barber for a nice short boys haircut far better
    I would say other boys.

A Chi hair straightner works amazing. if you use the products as well your hair will be super shiny. I have been looking for a really good straightner for years, and this works GREAT! and i have like Ringlets!

    it costs around 100 dollars
I have a chi and love it.

My friends have a fhi and it also works really well, but I still like my chi better!

(we have different types of hair, so to each their own.)
i use a chi...it works fine and it really doesnt damage ur hair if u really no how to straighten it...like wen u straighten it you have to go very slow...very slowly down not fast or it will damage it. i think chi is good...
Um i have n idea what you are talking about with regards to the split end cutting straightener but I really really love my paul mitchell straightener !

What are best hair Straighteners for afro hair?

i have an afro and i want to start straightening it.

what are the best hair straightners for this? What are best hair Straighteners for afro hair?
press and comb for non chemicals

if you want a relaxer you should try a professional who will use Mazzani .

But not Motions. It is not a good quality. What are best hair Straighteners for afro hair?
I would say for all hair types its the ghd staightners,it probably depends on the product that you use for afro hair....xx
    The paul mitchell straightener
ghd's my friend has REALLY curly hair and they work for her.

Which do you reckon are the 2nd best hair straighteners?

I know that GHD are the best, I want to hear other opinions!Which do you reckon are the 2nd best hair straighteners?
The market is flooded with a lot of good hair straighteners. The main features to look for in any brand are:

    1) Ceramic coated or solid ceramic plates. Note that the ceramic coating wears off over time, but this does not overly affect the performance of a hair iron.

    2) Ceramic heating element. This allows a hair straightener to heat up in a matter of seconds. Cheaper irons don't have this and can take up to 90 secionds to get hot enough to use.

    3) Variable heat up to 220 degrees. Hair irons rely on extreme temperatures to straighten hair effectively. The lower temperature irons may not perform as well.

Great alternatives to GHD's are Hair Tools, Remington (excellent low budget irons) and GA.MA's.Which do you reckon are the 2nd best hair straighteners?
JML straighteners are good they do the same job as ghds but are only £20 and dont damage your hair as much as ghds hope this helped xxxx
i have a chi. even though it was expensive (over $100), it has lasted me over a year and a half (or maybe longer?). all my other straighteners from wal-mart (like conair, remington, etc) stopped working within 6 months. i seriously went through 15 straighteners before i bought my chi. and so even though i spent more money, in the long run, i will save it because i'm not buying straighteners every other day!!!!
My girlfriend wanted me to get GHD's but I read a few reviews and found that SCP had good professional reviews for their model range. As they are very reasonably priced I gave it a go and she was more than satisfied with the results she can achieve. I ordered hers through - http://www.hairstuffdirect.co.uk/... They were rapidly despatched and she has had no problems with them for nearly 2 years.
Remington Wet n' Curl are just as good.
babyliss pro 230 are amazing and unlike ghd's dont have a bad reputation for blowing up.
i have tried the best, but every time keep going back to good old futura.
tried the others but they arnt very good ghd are the best
mine! called T3 100% tourmaline power .My hair is very thick and curly. They cost me about £100,but its the best money ive ever spent! Bought them from the hair salon that i go to.My sister got some GHD,she thinks mine are just as good as hers, but cheaper and without the name!
    omg
I've got a pair of Nicky Clarke ones, they are pretty good.
wet to strait is the best and it doesn't coast to much
i've heard chi straighteners are really good but they cost a lot but i own a conair and it works very good. there are also many straightening aids out there that can help you i started out using loreal hot straight then a couple days ago i switched to alberto V05 Make it straight they both work very well tho

What are the best hair straighteners? that dont dry out hair?

i want to get a hair straightener but i dont want to dry out my hair so it is thin and dry. any suggestions? What are the best hair straighteners? that dont dry out hair?
ok i have my hair layered and i spike them and poof it up and spray a TON of holding hair spray to keep it in place..i take my hair after nikki sixx from motley crue...and yes my hair is all burnt and dried up..it never looks it though but it is...when i get the spray out of my hair..i use shampoo and conditioner..and when i dry my hair and all that..its not dry and dead anymore..its like how it was when its natural and not straightened..and i use my hair straightener on max heat...anyways im just saying this is what works for me..i know some people that totally fried there hair and it stayed that way..sooo i dunnoWhat are the best hair straighteners? that dont dry out hair?
You will need to apply some cream or some heat resistant hair lotion first, to prevent over drying and over heating.
um any of the new conair hair straitners are great for all types!!!
the CHI brand is a really good but expensive brand.
i have a bed head straightener and it is the BEST!!!! It doesn't dry out your hair, gets rid of all fly aways, and, as if it needed to be any cooler, it's blue!!!
Hair straighteners add heat to your hair to relax the hair shaft, that's how it straightens. If you don't want to dry out your hair, straightening is not for you.
since your hair is thin it's best not to get the CHI which i'm pretty sure everyone is going to recommend. get the protouch flat iron :) i only know that it is being sold in the Jcpenney salon. It steams a lot so it gives plenty more moisture then the CHI, trust me. I have the CHI %26amp; my sister has the protouch hers is better then my chi ):. Plus you can control the temperature setting %26amp; the original CHI just goes to the hottest so your hair might break off... it's about 29.99$-39.99$ btw. my sis got it on sale for 20$
    http://www.sedubeauty.com/

the sedu is the best hair straightner ever!!!!!

and also use some frizz ease on your hair!!

    shampoo conditionar

and put the serum in before you straighten it
A ceramic straightener with different heat settings would be the best. Use the lowest heat setting possible and a good heat protectant beforehand. Keratese makes the best called cement thermique, but it's expensive and found in salons.

  • Best hair straighteners for my hair type?

I have shoulder-length, coarse, thicker hair. It has little to no damage and has minimal wave. I've really been looking for a straightener that can smooth my hair and make it, well, not so coarse-textured or thick.

What specific straighteners would you recommend that would work best for my hair type with desired results?

Thanks in advance ;)Best hair straighteners for my hair type?
I have hair just like yours and i use a GHD.

It works really well on my hair, and gives it a smooth finish!

Have a look at their website:

http://www.ghdhair.com/Best hair straighteners for my hair type?
the Chi is good, but their are straighteners better than a Chi.

When you are straightening your hair, you should put oil on it afterwards to moisturise it. (not to much..you don't want it to oily)

    Awesome Straighteners!

    Sedu

    Kenta

    Solia

    Infrashine

    Ghd

When you are straigheneing is, use a rat tail comb, and take your time! Don't rush to get it finished..the results are AMAZING
I have hair SOOO similar to yours and i have a GREAT straightener uummmm its conair and anything conair is GREAT but i do recomend usuing product for your hair because if u straighten it alot like me you hair can get damaged (It dosent show tho) and ummmmm oh ya but dont use to much caz then it looks all oily :P anywayyy hope I help
    chi.

    but it's SO expensive... :[
    the best straightener is

    REMINGTON- WET TO STRAIGHT

this straightener keeps your hair very smooth and silky

it could be used on wet hair.
I've got your hair! I use Biosilk, I got it at target

for only $70. REMEMBER: NEVER STAIGHTEN HAIR WITH

MORE THAN 400 DEGREES! YOU WILL FRY YOUR HAIR!

    =)
    DONT GET A CHI

    GET A GHD!!!

    GHD FORREVER

IT IS BETTER THAN THE CHI AND DOSENT PULL YOUR HAIR AND BREAK IT OFF LIKE THE CHI!
I find Chi's work really well.
    chi its about $100

Best hair straighteners that wont damage hair? that will go from frizzy to shine?

are there any flat irons that wont damage hair? my hair is frizzy and just dull are there any flat irons that will make my hair shiney and not so piecey and not look like i have a million split ends?Best hair straighteners that wont damage hair? that will go from frizzy to shine?
    SEDU is awsome

    i ordered it from www.folica.com

just see the reviews in their site....above 4000 reviews ...everyone said it is awsome

and many have uploaded their before and after pics too in that site so have a look.

ofcourse it is expensive but you will never regret your purchase

am using it since 5 years even today it works as good as the initial days

lol do i sound like am marketting it

    ha ha ha

dont just read my review read 4000 reviews and decide they all cannot be wrongBest hair straighteners that wont damage hair? that will go from frizzy to shine?
There is no flat iron that won't damage the hair all of them do. All the advertisements that say it won't damage the hair lie all they want to do is sell stuff. There are some that won't damage the hair as much as others though. I have a Chi straightener and it doesen't damage my hair as much as my old straightener it does make your hair smooth and pretty. because it has ceramic plates and stuff maybe it would work for you to. You can also use some serums and stuff that they sell in stores to keep your hair nice and healthy and so it won't get damaged with all the heat. Hope I helped.
i have the same problem as you. my best friend has a chi turbo. i HATE it. it fried my hair. my other friend has a regular pink chi and that worked great but once i walked out in the humidity my hair frizzed back up.

sedu makes top of the line flat irons. they have way better reviews on folica

    http://www.folica.com/brands/sedu_140.ht?/a>

a lot of people who have problems using chis because it fries their hair do great with the sedu. and they're just about the same price. folica will give you free shipping, add in a free mini iron and spray, and will offer to you for about 20 bucks cheaper
The best flat iron is the CHI. It has ceramic plates which are a lot better for your hair. With ANY heating tool you need to use a heat protection serum. Usually when you buy a CHI, it comes with a small bottle of serum..which will last you for months.
i agree that CHI works theeee verrrryyyyyyy best. 1'; ceramic. every other straightener compared to that is kind of worthless haha. and as for me, wet 2 straight doesn't work very well and actually creates more frizz and damage.

    CHI ALL THE WAY. :D
The Remington Wet 2 Straight... it has negative ions that keeps your hair shiny and not frizzy, and steam vents keep it from frying, even when it's wet. It's $22 for the 1-inch, and $25 for the 2-inch at Target or Wal Mart. It's the best I've ever used, and its cheap.
CHI is amazing Chi Turbo 1' is what I have had for 5 years works great and lasts.
    the ion is the best
CHI TurbO...Makes my hair oh so smooth and silky b/c I got frizz for days,LOL

What are the best hair straighteners from Target?

i really need a new ceramic hair straightener. i am going to target, because i need a cheap one that works WONDERS!!!

    any ideas?

remember cheap, but works GREAT!!What are the best hair straighteners from Target?
I got some conair one. I can't remember the exact name of it, but it was only like $20. Somewhere around there, and it gets the job done great. My friend also bought one from Target that I believe is Coniar, but not completely sure...but hers is one that you can use on dry or wet hair, and that one's really cool if you're in a hurry and don't want to wait for your hair to dry. That one was also around $20. Hope I helped! :)What are the best hair straighteners from Target?

I have a red conair one that has a little comb on the side that way it separates it while straightening it rather than clumping it all together.

  • Whats the best hair straighteners?

I have shoulder length hair which is very curly - I have straightener that i use (babyliss) but after around 3 hours of using them my hair goes back to normal - I have to walk to school so usually the weather is quite windy. I need GHD's but they are quite expensive. Does anyone have any straighteners that are quite good, reasonably priced, and last all day with straight hair?

    Thanks for all your tips!

    Whats the best hair straighteners?
Sedu is the #1 flat iron out right now and about 1/2 the price of GHD. Funny how things work out, huh?

    http://www.folica.com/Sedu_Flat__360_1.h?/a>Whats the best hair straighteners?
The kiyoseki is the best straightner in the world trust me on this one.It can straighten and it can curl your hair if you want. And also when it hot outside your hair stays straight it will not frizz outside. This iron is also healthy for your hair.My hair is poofy frizzy SUPER curly and it works so good on my hair. I really cant live without it. To so see the commercial and reviews go to www.kstyler.com and if you have any questions you can always email me hope this helped.=)

my favourite is FHI straighteners because they get the hottest out of all the straighteners I have tried including GHD, i think they go to 232 degrees, but they have a temperature dial to turn them down, I also curl with them as well sometimes. I used to have GHD but since i bought my FHI from http://www.saloneasy.com/straighteners/f?/a> I definitely wouldn't go back to GHD. You should give FHI a go, you wouldnt be dissapointed i dont think! x.
i have bought so many hair straighteners and in the end had to buy GHDs, I'd just save up and get the GHDs as they're well worth it. I have really tight curls and they are the only straighteners what actually make my hair smooth and straight instead of a frizzy, fried, straight mess.
Hi,my hair is naturally wavy so I totally understand you! I found a website folica.com,I went to the site researched a bunch of flat irons and decided on a solia..I love it! My hair stays straight through the next day. Check out the the site and they even have reviews,so that helped me make my decision. They are alittle pricey but well worth it. Oh and you need to use kenra platinum hot spray,it works really good..Hope this helps! Good Luck!
Ghd's are the best....and soooo worth the money!! Ive had mine for 4 years now and still wont part with them!!

You can get the cheap on ebay, but watch out for fake ones.

You can also get ones from ebay called 'she' my friend got these and are just as good as Ghd's!

    Treat yourself to a pair!!

    xxx
Japanese straightening, expensive, takes forever BUT IS forever! Imagine getting our of the shower, towel drying and having pin straight soft hair FOREVER! (Or until the hair grows out).
i use FHI's they are expensive to but they work very good and you probably wont find one's that actually straighten curly hair if your not willing to pay alot,, but dont get GHI's because there not as good as FHI's
i have a conair 1. its red and black and only cost me about 20 dollars. It works wonders for me and it stays straight for days if i dont wash my hair that long
Futura, they use them at my hairdressers and my hair stays straight for ages, even when i wake up the next morning it's straight.
    Toni %26amp; Guy.

They are about £40 and have lasted me 5 years so far and their condition is brilliant.

They are just as good as GHD's in my opinion because I have GHD's too.

if you're going for GHD's you need the mini styler

some here on ebay for £75

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Brand-New-GHD-Mini?/a>

which is as cheap as you're going to get them. The reason the prices have soared is because the mk4's have just come out.

    hope i helped!

xxBest hair straighteners for short very curly hair?
    try japanese hair straightening.

    It's permanent.

    it's also called:

Japanese Straightening, Thermal Reconditioning, Straight Perm, and Japanese Straight Perm

    It's expensive, $750 bucks!!!!

The best Japanese Straightening System is Liscio, and the second is Yuko.

after you get it, guard your hair from water or any type of moisture for the next 72 hours.

After Japanese Straightening, you do want to be sure to keep hair protected from the sun and moisturized, so frequent deep conditioning and an SPF spray or other UV protective hair product is highly recommended.
i think that if you are having big trouble with shopping(as in price wise) my idea would be Ebay, they have it on the internet world-wide basically. You can get the biggest discounts on stuff, like for x-mas last year my dad got me a Ipod nano on Ebay and it was like $50, Brand New! he saved $100!
if you have a walmart thier omg thiers really worked on mine and mine is really really curly
it depends on your hair becasu ei have this straighten er that wirks really really good on my hair but it dosent work on my friends hair at all. =] even if it is curly or straight =]
You cant straighten your short and curlies.
Try to get a Paul Mitchell straightener. They're a little pricy, but they work very well. I have really short hair too, and it's extremely curly and frizzy. That's the best straightener I have ever used... it made my hair completely straight and smoothed it out alot.
    CHI!!..It works so good.

My hair is really curly, %26amp; it turn out so straight, and look healthy.
I agree with OLiver A GHD mini stylers and they sound like a good buy.lol x
GHD's, but use a serum first and hairspray afterwards. Ask in hair dressers as well and see what they say.

well for me since i have dry, frizzy and hard to straighten thick hair, the hair straighteners from the drugstore kinda straighten my hair but makes it look totally dry. the best one is CHI. its makes your hair smooth and look shiny. i also use biosilk before the straighten my hair and it TOTALLY works!
Well people say GHDs, which cost over 90 for the new 2007 ones.

But babyliss, remington etc all work just as well.

And who cares what the make is as long as the straighten hair !
according to hollywood, GHD. But personally i think any is fine... as long as it straightens your hair, right?
    GHDs
hair straighteners... um, well i would say GHD's are the best. i dont own but one of my friends does and they were amazing.. ive got like hlf a metre length hair so its difficult finding good straightening irons for my hair. now, i have this greek make and its really good, well it was but now its wrecked.... i take it everywhere with me %26amp; they didnt take travelling around greece well. lol, well ghd's but babybliss %26amp; remington are good. if u want it for you ive heard alot of me use ghd's..... im not sure . lol

    hope i helped though
I would havet to say H.D or babyliss the other ones dont work at all!

    Get slim lined ones aswell

Good luck with the hair then!x
    Ghost's
The Chi is really the best hair straightener, but it cost like 150 bucks. Any brand works really. You can get a Conair one for like 10 bucks, I have one and they work great
Iv'e got GHDS %26amp; Nicky Clark straightners they're proffessional,

    also,Remington
GHD are the best i`ve ever tried but quite expensive(I have to borrow my friends!!)

Definately get some with ceramic plates as these are always better.
This website rated straighteners based on 126 reviews:

    http://www.ciao.co.uk/ratings.php/Rating

it shows that Ghd Salon Hair Straighteners ranked at number 1, but also links other good ones.

    So take your pick.

    I hope it helps.
ghd they are amazing and you only need to use them once on each piece of hair for it to become staright so it doesnt damage hair as much as other straightners although they are about 100
GHD's are the usual pick....I think it's great but any with a ceramic plate is good!
    without a doubt GHD
GHD are by far the best in australia..They cost from $200 (AUD) %26amp; up. But I don't think they're needed unless you have very coarse unruly hair. I have a $30 straightener that has a max temp. of 200c. and it works perfectly fine. But I would spend anywhere between $60 - $150 on one. Make sure it's ceramic to so it doesn't wreck the hair.
    My personal idea is that

    GHD

    Babyliss

    or

Remington are the best, try to get a temperature of about 200'c. GHD are indeed, the most expensive, but you get what you pay for when you purchase straighteners.

What are the best hair straighteners that I can get at places like Target, K-Mart, or Wal-Mart?

I'd like a few suggestions, because I can't get too expensive but I want one that is good. Thanks! What are the best hair straighteners that I can get at places like Target, K-Mart, or Wal-Mart?
Remington wet to dry straighteners are a great value at walmart for about $25.00. they are built tough and work great ... i wouldn't buy another brand now that i tried it.What are the best hair straighteners that I can get at places like Target, K-Mart, or Wal-Mart?
Its a thing called the remington wet to straight. I have it. It straightens wet straight and damp hair. It is all digital and high tech. You can google it. It has a thick plate so it straightens a lot of hair fast. I can straighten all the hair on my head in about 10 minutes with it. Its great and I love it. It is only $25.00 dollars, and can be found at Target. Hope I helped
I've got a Remington ceramic pro from Kmart which cost me about $50. I have had it for nearly 2 years and I have not had a problem with it. I went through 3 Muster Professionals in the same amount of time previously costing me about $250 each time. I will never buy anything else now. I have very thick hair and it is great.
Con Air is definately the way to go. It may be a bit pricy depending on where you get it. However it works very well and lasts the longest. I speak from experience. ConAir products are definately worth the amount of money you pay for them.
I'd reccomend getting the conair hair straightner

if thats to expenisve then they should have some other kinds

What are the best hair straighteners the ones i have got babayliss dry and split my hair?

    FHI's.

There better than GHD's and are only £10 more. What are the best hair straighteners the ones i have got babayliss dry and split my hair?
For about a hundred bucks you can get a really nice CHI flatiron. The important thing is to have a product on your hair when you straighten because the flatiron will bake off the layer of product, and better the product get baked than your hair. What are the best hair straighteners the ones i have got babayliss dry and split my hair?
I've got GHD (Good Hair Day) and I love them. You can get them off the net for under £100. You might think thats a lil expensive but they last for years!! I've had mine for 4 years and they are still going strong.

Here's a site that you might wanna have a look at.

    http://www.haircareheaven.co.uk/catalogu?/a>

    http://www.jasonshankey.co.uk/

I can't find the website that I got mine off but I hope that these ones help you out
All hair straightners ruin your hair. I used to have remmington wet2straights. They were very good at keeping the moisture in. I have scince bought a pair of GHD's and i would never go back. They are brilliant. If your hair is getting dry, try using some serum or heat protection spray. Tresmé heat defence smooth works well for me as unlike other heat protection sprays it does'nt cause your hair to go like a piece of cardboard after youve straigtened it!
GHDs (good hair days lol says it all lol)

they are made specially to help protect your hair, they also seem to keep my hair which goes frizzy the moment i step out the door in check lol try not to over straighten your hair and only do it when necessary!

also make sure you condition your hair well and use a heat protection spray it really will help keep your hair in great condition
All hair straighteners will dry your hair with constant use. You have to put a heat protector on your hair, and keep your hair well conditioned. GHD are one of the best on the market at the moment, but as I said before your hair needs to be kept well conditioned. Use a treatment weekly.
Remington. This is what i use. its waay better than any other product. I had babyliss and it dried and split my hair. so i got remington and it works amazingly.

    go for it.
Caprice straighteners are just as good as GHD but a quarter of the price. I use mine every day, always with a protection product though.
The best ones are said to be GHDs (good hair day)

but they are REALLY expensive. But even the good ones will damage your hair if you straighten too often or don't use a thermal protection creme.
GHD are the way forward, yeah they may be expensive but they are brilliant
    GHDs.
    GHDs no doubt about it.

I'd recommend a CHI above anything else, as its quality is superior! But, due to the fact that they are expensive, I can recommend the GVP flat iron from Sally's. It's a generic version of the CHI and it's a very good reproduction at that!

They run about $60, which seems high at first, but think about it like this: Most inexpensive (around $30-40) flat irons will conk out on you in about 3 months. But this flat iron will last years for just a little extra cost, so you're actually saving money in the long run.

    Consider it an investment!

    Good luck!

I researched flat irons for hours the other day before just going to Walmart and buying the Remington Professional Hair Straightener. It is amazing! I was going to pay around $100 for a Sedu or Solia, but this inexpensive ($40) is amazing! It has tourmaline plates which is what you want. Auto shut off. Heats up to 430 degrees. 30second heat up. AND you can curl your hair under/out since the edges are curved. :) I have thick hair that is a tad frizzy and this made it half has thick, smooth and silky!! I love it! I'm so glad I didn't buy the Chi or Sedu or GHD. This is better than what I've heard about the Chi. Try it!
Hí, the best straightener that I have it is Babyliss 230 Pro Radiance ( our trade Conair) it is very good I´m very happy ( it is the fifth straighteners that I bayed) the price it not very cheap, but I haver order in a catalogue La Redoute and it was 40% off her price !

What are the best hair straighteners besides GHDs?

My GHDs have stopped working completely, after less than year....What are the best straighteners, in your opinion, other than GHDs?What are the best hair straighteners besides GHDs?
I recommend Babyliss Pro 230 straighteners. I got some for Christmas and they are great. My hair is really thick but they still work really well on it and I don't have to separate it into a lot of sections either. What are the best hair straighteners besides GHDs?
In my opinion GHD's are a waste of money,, i know a few people that have had to have theirs replaced a couple of times after less then a year of having them.

I recommend FHI's which i have been told by many people are better/just as good as GHD's.. I say so myself that they are..!! They are cheaper but only by a little bit and come in pink or black (if colour matters).. I have them in pink!! I have had mine for quite a while and not yet have they broken/stopped working!

My hair is naturally curly (ringlet curls) and my hair stays straight all day! This shows how good they really are !

    Hope this helps

SAKS IONICS PHONE HARTLEPOOL AND THEY LL MAIL YOU SOME GREAT ADVICE GOOD SERVICE.
Ive got the Nicky Clarke proffesional salon straigteners there excellent!! It doesnt take long at all to straighten my hair and there are quite slim so its good for doing you fringe. They also are really good for curling your hair if youve got naturally straight hair. I really recommend these!!!!!
    andrew hill available from boots.com
my straigthener is jilbere de paris definition series.i got it at sally's for a pretty good price.it is a pro one.and gets up to 400 some degrees.i have very thinck wavy hair and it only takes me about 1/2 an hour to straighten when with my old one it took me 1-2hrs.the plates are completely ceramic so your hair is not damaged.and it comes with a 5 year warrenty.hope this helped.
i have a conair professional ceramic straightener. it works great! my hair is super curly but when i use my straightener, it is super straight. it also comes with a 5 yr warrenty.

if you paid that much for a ghd (and i know they're expensive), then it really should have had a warrenty on it that should cover having it less than a year.
Try the Remmington Wet2Dry straightner. You can buy it at walmart or anotehr store like it for $25. It works soooo good and doesnt damage your hair.
I use Wet2Straight. You can use it to straighten wet hair and it comes out straight. And on dry hair you can use it also. And on damp. You could also set it to how hot you want it and what's best for your hair type.

What are the top 10 best hair straighteners?

I'm just curious to see what the top 10 best straighteners are... I have heard the following two answers several times as to the best straighteners. They are the Sedu, and the Maxi Glide. I watched a couple videos on youtube about them but I want to know the top ten for you. So tell me!What are the top 10 best hair straighteners?
    1)T-3 ($115+)

    2)FHI Runway Series ($400)

best available on the market, but the price makes it rank as number

2, if you have the money go for it there not called runway series for nothing. They are used for runway shows and etc.

3)FHI Platform Series ($150-200) Supposed to be a bit better than t-3 but haven't tried it myself.

4)Chi pink series(chi's are a bit overrated and outdated)

What would you recommend as the best hair straighteners?

I have very curly course hair and would like to get a really good pair of straighteners, I did have GHDs which were good but broke just over a year after buying them. Any advice would be appreciated. What would you recommend as the best hair straighteners?
Contact GHD and tell them that they are broken. They might still repair them for free as they're just out of warranty if not they will charge you about £20 to repair them.....Beats buying a new pair. You won't find a better brand...I've tried a few different types and I swear by them.

They've replaced mine twice for me now..No questions asked..... God bless GHD!! :)What would you recommend as the best hair straighteners?
    GHDS
I have some called kodo which are awsome however for curly hair GHD's might be the answer.
Absolutely GHDs. I have the most unruly hair going and it it makes it dead straight. I shall not ever go with any other brand. So you go out there and buy yourself another.
Hiya. You should have sent the GHD's back to the company, will a letter saying what happened etc (recorded deliv) They would have most definately replaced them.

    Again, i would recommend GHDs

    x
Well the GHDs and CHI are the most popular one's but that dosn't mean they are the best. I also have curly and I've had the Sedu for a long time and it's great. I'm pretty sure most people will tell you GHDs and CHI are the best but they are not. Go to the website listed under source. That is the Sedu. You can also explore other great sraighteners on this website. Good Luck!!!!!!

    GHD's All The Way ..

CHI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?they are THE best straightner in the world whenever i go to the salon they use chi and trust me i pay for it. a chi is about $200
    GHDs
I have REALLY curly hair and found that T3 straighteners are really good because they also dont dry out your hair. I think they are about the same price as GHD's.

    http://www.t3straighteners.co.uk/prod_list.asp?catid=26%26amp;gclid=CPGzjKnhp44CFQ0eEgodWXJVZg
ahh GHD's ive been using them for years and they are brilliant, in about 10 seconds they warm up, they beep when hot enough to start straightning, and turn them selves off if u accidently leave them on ! honest id go for GHD, no better i think=)
    SCP - Salon Creative Pro

GHD's burn your hair and are very bad.

    SCP's = £20 - £50

or find them cheaper on Ebay.

    Good Luck!

(don't forget to use protection spray if you use them every day)
    CHI

I've been using mine for four years and it's still in perfect condition. It costs around $100 and I got it from a salon so obviously it's good if they use it.
I just got the new GHD mark 4 and they do curls too as the irons are barrell shaped £119.00 from GHD website. You also get a CD and a styling product free.
GHD's are the best you can buy.
i had ghd's and they have lasted for 6 years so i would contact them if they broke after a year as they'd still be under guarantee. no straightner is better then ghd's.

They are really amazing and easy. They straighten your hair really fast even if its really curly, and it makes your hair soft, too. They are expensive, but its totally worth it. I have the one inch but they make a 2 inch as well.
GHD straighteners. The wide plated ones, for frizzy/ afro-carribean hair. Keep your hair straight whatever the weather.
I would say the In-Styler its good they advertise on the tv like all the time.. google it and see the results... good luck

What are the best hair Straighteners for men with thick and curly hair?

I want to invest in some hair Straighteners as I am sick of my afro style locks (If left I would end up with a Marge Simpson type hair do!) What are the best ones to get? And will they damage my hair if I use them daily? What are the best hair Straighteners for men with thick and curly hair?
ghd's are probably the best for your hair as they come in different sizes.....What are the best hair Straighteners for men with thick and curly hair?
With thick, curly hair, you should definitely invest in the best, ie GHD or equivalent, as cheap straighteners that don't reach 200 degrees or more are going to have little effect, and non-ceramic is going to destroy your hair. They are pretty expensive, but I think you get your money's worth. If your hair is short then you can get thinner straighteners like the ones shown here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GHD-MARK-4-IV-MENS?/a> You will probably find that you wouldn't have to straighten your hair daily, perhaps every other day. To minimise damage to your hair it is advisable to use some sort of heat protection product. My favourite was the GHD barrier spray which cost about a tenner, but there are loads to choose from. Also, perhaps you could use a shampoo which relaxes curls, just to give your hair a head start!
    I would say GHD's.

You can get certain models that fit your hair type.

And I know for deffinate, there are some that have been made especially for thick, curly hair.

    http://www.ghdhair.com/uk/ghd-iv-salon-s?/a>

They should be roughly what your looking for.

    There a good brand.

About the damagin. All straightens will damage your hair in one way or another, there drying it out.

But you can buy GHD products which you spray on your hair while straightening which really reduces it.

I use GHD's daily and my hair is just as healthy as anyone else's.

    Hope that helps.
the best Straightener ive come across are by FHI, i use them daily in work for at times an hour, GHD's are good Straighteners, but are over rated and over priced. http://www.salon-sales.co.uk/productcat.asp?prodtypeid=6%26amp;prodtype=Hair%20straighteners%20and%20Curling%20tongs%26amp;prodcat=%26amp;prodcatname=%26amp;type=1%26amp;thismd=5640#5640 you can get them at a reduced price at this address
    I use GHDS - http://www.ghdhair.com/uk/

In my opinion they are the best, all the hairdressers use them.

I have thick curly, hair and they seem to be the only Straighteners that work!

    Men use them aswell.

You will be safe using them daily as long as you use a heat protector spray, I have Tresemme heat tamer spray, its really good - http://www.tresemme.com/heat/products/heat-tamer-protective-spray.aspx

    hope this helps : )
Hey the best ones are GHD's and they come in guy versions! but if you hair is as thick as you say then i would just go for the lady ones probably hotter and work better lol.

I use my GHD's everyday and they dont do any damage as long as you use a heat defence spray that you can buy in boots chemist. Treseme is the best!

Good luck and hope you tame that mane lol.

    xxx
I use Maxiglide and at first your hair will look WOW great Awesome but with alot of use your hair will get frizzy, broken ends and worst. I'm saving up for a Japanese permanent hair straightening, Maybe you should too it's permanent and it won't ruin your hair like heating appliances I already ruined mine now if I don't use the Maxiglide I look like a chia pet !

the thickness of your hair doesn't matter. you need to do small sections anyway. i found babyliss straighteners to not do such a great job. i have a GHD and it's amazing. i have curly hair too and it straightens first shot.
Hey, i use GHD's and so do a lot of my male friends. You can buy special thinner irons for men. They are quite expensive (well alot more than babyliss) but they are definitely worth the money.
If you really really really have to straighten your hair then Babyliss has good straighteners.

But just so you know tons and tons of women love guys with naturally thick, curly hair so if I were you I wouldn't. :P
GHDs all the way! You cannot buy better straighteners

All the straightners ive had do alot of damage to my hair, i used to color it but i stopped a few years ago and my hair is also very very thin and fine, it always has been.

People say the Chi is good but I've also heard of the Kstyler(Kiyoseki) and heard it was amazing, they're both the same price but if you buy the Kiyoseki you get like a dvd, some products,a brush, comb, clips, etc.

    Does anyone have any imputs?

Thank you so much. What are the best hair straighteners to buy?

the price ranges from 80-100 and doesnt have the same quality and it cant do the same things as a chi!

    Hope this helps! [=

I have used both and they work GREAT!! Good luck!
GHDs are probably the best, they're reliable and effective.. if you don't mind paying £100.. If you don't like the sound of that, Sony Tressemé ones are £50, and really quick, easy and good to use on sensitive hair.

What is the best hair straighteners to buy?

The hair straighteners I have at the moment I have had for the past 4 years, and they just dont do the job anymore! I want the new GHD's, but are a little bit too expensive for me. What is the next best thing for long, thick hair? I am in the UK. Also, where can I get them and how much do they cost? What is the best hair straighteners to buy?
il let you in on a big secret!!! buy some broken ones from ebay, send them of to the address on box stating that they blew up on you and that you brought them bout 11 months ago ( any thing under a year) from any salon you no that sells them and they will send you new ones with no questions asked!!! trust me!! my mate done this, then her mum, then i broke mine by getting in an arguement with my partner and smashing them!!! so i thought id give it a go, said they blew up which made me jump and i dropped them!!!! and within two weeks i got a brand new pair tho the post!!! i was well chuffed because mine were 3 years old!!, brought a broken pair of ebay since and done the same in my new address and got another new pair which i flogged on ebay!! lol, they send them out because they no they can blow up if they get too hot, which is there fault! What is the best hair straighteners to buy?
I have a Chi %26amp; a Revlon straightner %26amp; they both work great! I like the Revlon one more because its is big, thick %26amp; gets really hot so it works great on my thick hair! But the Chi one is PINK! :)
i have an ELITE but i want a MAXI GLIDE...they are really good.
ghd's and they are cheap on ebay
GHD' s are the best , it;s got to be said, they keep my hair straight all day long and they're worth every bit of money, ive got the wide plate GHD's , im getting the new ones soon
    You need the CHI.

I have extremely thick hair, and it's also on the long side. I struggled just like you with finding a good quality straightener. Finally my cousin told me about the CHI, and I swear, it's the best thing I've ever bought.

It's pretty expensive - around 90 bucks - but believe me, it's worth the investment. I don't know why this iron works so much better than any other iron on the market, but it does. All CHI products have a great reputation around the globe.

It also leaves your hair very shiny and silky smooth.

If you just google CHI flat iron, you can shop around for the best price. You'll probably spend about that much money on crappy irons anyway, you might as well invest in a very high-quality product, especially if you have thick hair.
The best you can get is GHDs straighteners. You can buy them from any hair salon. The price is big but the results are ';perfection';! and remember to use the hair protections! It is a pair of professional styling iron with advanced ceramictechnology. I have really curly hair and i'm amazed everytime i straighten my hair. It's all about GHDs!!
You can get them cheaper on eBay.

    Or try CHI straighteners.
well i would recommend a conair.Mine is red and has timer for it to shut off in either 5,10,15,20,25,30 you can change the timer.it also tells you when its all the heated up.but what ever you do don't get one you can change the heads because those don't work.
i had the nicky clarke ceramic digital straightners which cost £45 and were really good. but ive just got the new ghd straightner curl thing and they're brill if ya can wait and save up for em.

if not then i would recomend the nicky clarke ones as i have really long, think hair and they straightened my hair quickly and kept it (pretty much) as i wanted it all day.
I love Nicky Clarke - I have long, thick hair and these are fab - I bought mine in Boots for about £30 18 months ago
    chi.
nicki clarke straighteners,my friend has some of them, and when i use them they make my hair look great, and i have thick hair.
for me CHI are the best!!!

What are the best hair straighteners on the market today?

I've heard CHI, Solia, and GHD are the best brands, but is that just because they are the most expensive? Are they really worth the price? What are the best hair straighteners on the market today?
Definitely! I would personally go with CHI. It does what it claims to to (straighten your hair) %26amp; even sprials %26amp; curls if you want it to. It's worth the price because unlike other cheap brands, it won't damage your hair or dry it out (or cause split ends and breakage). It's definitely money worth spending! After all, it is your hair ;] What are the best hair straighteners on the market today?

No. GHD's are the best by far. I have very thick coarse hair and I can say that GHD's work the best for that only because they heat up more than other straighteners. If you don't have very thick curly hair yu could opt for the other. GHD's are good but not exactly the best for hair since they have a very high temperature. House of Fraser have started selling another brand which are also good and you can adjust the heat temp on them but i would still go for GHD! You can go in store and ask them or do a search on their website. So I think GHD is worth every penny! G'luck!
CHI is by far the best.

i had a revlon hair straightner and it didn't do too much, but my friend has a CHI and her's works faster and makes hair so smooth and nice. (best to use with the chi pre-iron products)

most CHIs come with rebates too, and that can knock off at least $20 from the price.

omg it works really good I have it, its not expensive I got it at Target for like $30.00 really cheap, its the one with the gold plates, the ones that suck is ConAir, famous brand, but there straighteners suck! :]
the best straightener i have ever used is the conair infinity. i have tried chi and did not like them. this one works better and is like $60 less! it really is a great deal.
    GHD's are very good!!

    CHI, are okayy

    not used Solia though]

    xoxo

Vibe hair straighteners where the best i have ever used, though!!
Chi is a really, really good straightener.

Usually you can buy them on ebay or online for much cheaper.

It's worth the price, trust me!! (:
i have to say CHI... all the celebs have one, and look how beautiful their hair turns out to be!
i think i've heard that chi is best too (or anyway, the red ones are)
chi really is amazing. it heats quickly, straightens perfectly, and leaves ur hair REALLY soft

    i highly suggest them
    sedu
