well for me since i have dry, frizzy and hard to straighten thick hair, the hair straighteners from the drugstore kinda straighten my hair but makes it look totally dry. the best one is CHI. its makes your hair smooth and look shiny. i also use biosilk before the straighten my hair and it TOTALLY works!
Well people say GHDs, which cost over 90 for the new 2007 ones.

But babyliss, remington etc all work just as well.

And who cares what the make is as long as the straighten hair !
according to hollywood, GHD. But personally i think any is fine... as long as it straightens your hair, right?
GHDs
hair straighteners... um, well i would say GHD's are the best. i dont own but one of my friends does and they were amazing.. ive got like hlf a metre length hair so its difficult finding good straightening irons for my hair. now, i have this greek make and its really good, well it was but now its wrecked.... i take it everywhere with me %26amp; they didnt take travelling around greece well. lol, well ghd's but babybliss %26amp; remington are good. if u want it for you ive heard alot of me use ghd's..... im not sure . lol

hope i helped though
I would havet to say H.D or babyliss the other ones dont work at all!

Get slim lined ones aswell

Good luck with the hair then!x
Ghost's
The Chi is really the best hair straightener, but it cost like 150 bucks. Any brand works really. You can get a Conair one for like 10 bucks, I have one and they work great
Iv'e got GHDS %26amp; Nicky Clark straightners they're proffessional,

also,Remington
GHD are the best i`ve ever tried but quite expensive(I have to borrow my friends!!)

Definately get some with ceramic plates as these are always better.
This website rated straighteners based on 126 reviews:

http://www.ciao.co.uk/ratings.php/Rating

it shows that Ghd Salon Hair Straighteners ranked at number 1, but also links other good ones.

So take your pick.

I hope it helps.
ghd they are amazing and you only need to use them once on each piece of hair for it to become staright so it doesnt damage hair as much as other straightners although they are about 100
GHD's are the usual pick....I think it's great but any with a ceramic plate is good!
without a doubt GHD
GHD are by far the best in australia..They cost from $200 (AUD) %26amp; up. But I don't think they're needed unless you have very coarse unruly hair. I have a $30 straightener that has a max temp. of 200c. and it works perfectly fine. But I would spend anywhere between $60 - $150 on one. Make sure it's ceramic to so it doesn't wreck the hair.
My personal idea is that

GHD

Babyliss

or

Remington are the best, try to get a temperature of about 200'c. GHD are indeed, the most expensive, but you get what you pay for when you purchase straighteners.
