What is the best hair straightener for under $50?

I have thick wavy hair so its really hard to straighten and takes about an hour. I already have the wet to straight straightener, but its not the best. What is the best hair straightener for under $50?
I agree with with what the other guy said.

A cheap straightener WILL fry your hair and unfortunately I learned this the bad way after having to chop off 7 inches of my hair due to heat damage.

Take my advice, and go for the FHI. It's over 100... but it's the competing brand to the popular CHI. But the differance being that while the CHI has a ceramic outerlayer, it's insides are metal. In the FHI all six layers are ceramic. In the CHI, the heating pad is smaller than the metal and ceramic plates so heat is not distributed equally throughout whereas in the FHI the heating pad is the same size as the plates.

If you do want a cheap straightener though... that WILL bloody damage your hair but make it straight... I say go for either a Jilbre, Babyliss, Helen of Troy, or hot tools.

Good luck! What is the best hair straightener for under $50?
Clairol wet to dry straightner. It costs around $35.00 or so at CVS.
it you want a good straightener you will have to pay alot. most straighteners give your hair server heat damage. But if you want the best straightener your ll have to pay alot more than 50 dollars. the t3 is an awesome straightener and is well worth the money.
i have a straitener that works really really good and its only like $20. its called Revlon.
